“Amoris Laetitia Family Year”
On March 19, 2021, the Church celebrated the fifth anniversary of the publication of the Apostolic Exhortation Amoris Laetitia on the beauty and joy of love in the family.
On the same day, Pope Francis launched the “Amoris Laetitia Family Year”, which will conclude on June 26, 2022, on the occasion of the X World Meeting of Families in Rome with the Holy Father.
The experience of the pandemic has highlighted the central role of the family as the domestic Church and the importance of community ties between families. Such ties make the Church an authentic “family of families” (AL 87).
Therefore, the pilgrimage place of Our Lady of Einsiedeln invites young couples to read Amoris Laetitia together with other young couples. We will read the apostolic exhortation and share our reflections and we spend time dedicated to prayer.
The gathering will take place at the Abbey of Einsiedeln. We celebrate Holy Mass (in German) at 5:30pm at the Shrine of Our Lady following the encounter at the Abbey School (meeting point: left side of the Abbey front, entrance ‘GYMNASIUM’) around 6:30pm.
On following Sundays:
|Sunday, July 18||5:30pm Holy Mass at Gnadenkapelle followed by the gathering|
|Sunday, August 15||5:30pm Holy Mass at Gnadenkapelle followed by the gathering|
|Sunday, September 19||5:30pm Holy Mass at Gnadenkapelle followed by the gathering|
|Sunday, October 24||5:30pm Holy Mass at Gnadenkapelle followed by the gathering|
We will start to read in English Chapters Four and Five of AMORIS LAETITIA as Pope Francis suggests for married couples. If you read them ahead, it would be easier in discussing.
“The Christian proclamation on the family is good news indeed” (Amoris Leatitita, 1)
